Our factual entertainment and specialist factual content continues to sell well around the world and we are in pre-production or development on series shooting in Sri Lanka , Africa, Canada, Asia, the US and the UK.

We have recently announced our first feature length drama-documentary, shooting next year in London and South Africa.

Founded 4 years ago by two drama producers, ours is a documentary production company that puts compelling stories and great characters at the heart of everything we do.

2013 - 2014

The Big Wide World Market

Barefoot Rascals dips its toes in the international market place visiting the US, Australia, Hong Kong and Cannes. The year marks the beginning of many productive international co-production relationships and sees all of Barefoot Rascals' back catalogue picked up by international distributors, as well as a development deal looking forward.

2010 - 2012

In the beginning...

Barefoot Rascals starts life with Miss Merthyr Tydfil (BBC 1) and doesn't look back. Back to back commissions for ITV and S4C dominate a busy two years which culminates in a 120 minute Argentinian / UK docudrama co-production for History Latin America and History UK Falklands Combat Medics.
